ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
As the Vice President of Operations for Enjet Aero, Matt sits on Enjet’s senior leadership team and is responsible for safety, quality, production, and sourcing. Each of the Enjet facilities runs on the same ERP system and utilizes the same operational metrics which is internally referred to as the Enjet Operating System. Matt is responsible for the ongoing development, refinement, and deployment of the operating system as well as building a culture of teamwork within & across facilities so that the collective power of our organization is Ready, Willing, & Able to deliver for our customers. The results are a safe, productive, and responsive operations that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
PRIOR RELATED EXPERIENCE
Matt has over 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry. In addition to high-level leadership and manufacturing experience, Matt brings hands-on experience in aerospace special processes like EB welding, heat treat, non-conventional machining, and non-destructive testing. Earlier in his career Matt spent time at EDAC Technologies (Hanwha), Bodycote, Barnes Aerospace and Lockheed Martin. Matt is also a veteran of the United States Air Force where he worked in an aerial, space and cyber warfare division.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
From full turnaround to driving exponential growth, Matt has been part of, built, and led teams that have achieved significant operational and financial improvements. His experience in organizational development, operational excellence, and effective team building have enabled him to lead multiple organizations through difficult and demanding circumstances. In 2020 Matt led the team at the Connecticut division of SKF Aerospace to their highest performing year despite the challenges COVID presented. Subsequently Matt was asked to lead the largest of SKF’s plants in North America and had responsibility for a site with over 500 employees, serving the largest aerospace customers including GE, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, Bell, Boeing, and others.
