David Nelson
Vice President of Supply Chain
Enjet Aero HQ – Overland Park, KS

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

As Vice President, David leads Enjet Aero’s enterprise procurement and materials organization, supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations while contributing to setting and execution of the company’s strategic objectives. He is accountable for supplier performance, cost and long-term financial outcomes across the external network, and works directly with customers and suppliers to keep commitments aligned end to end. He oversees sourcing, planning and supplier development in service of the quality and delivery standards the aerospace and defense market demands.

PRIOR RELATED EXPERIENCE

David is an operations professional who has spent his career in aerospace since 2007, beginning with a major aircraft OEM. He has since held global sourcing, program management and operations roles at multi-billion-dollar manufacturers including Spirit AeroSystems and Precision Castparts Corporation, giving him a view of the industry from the mill through to the airframe. That background spans complex, highly engineered product lines and the supplier networks that sustain them. David earned his MBA and his Bachelor of Science from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas.

PERSONAL FUTURE VISION AND GOALS

David’s ambition for Enjet is a prudent, dependable group of businesses that the aero engine OEMs can count on for consistency and honesty — a supplier whose commitments hold. He leads in an open, transparent and goal-focused manner, working from clear targets and shared information rather than hierarchy, and believes that candor with customers, suppliers and employees is what makes durable growth possible.
